One of the great ministries emerging in the Church today is that of SPONSOR. The idea of a “spiritual companion” who will stand behind a new member in the community, pay special attention to their needs, and help them become aware of their special gifts, is one of the major supports offered to a catechumen. Sponsors attend instruction sessions with catechumens, search for answers to Faith questions, pray regularly with and for them and act as models or witnesses of faith. The sponsor is the major personal contact that the catechumen has with Sacred Heart Church and is expected to testify to the spiritual progress of the catechumen before the parish family at the ceremony of Election.

RCIA will meet on Thursday, February 26 at 7:00 p.m. in the Parish House.  We will reflect on the Scripture for the 1^st Sunday of Lent (February 28/March 1); Mark 1: 12-15.  Our topic for the evening will be Lent, its Rituals and Practices.  Come and share your faith.  See you there!
